Do you have any pets?
I do! I have one cat and her name is Mittens! She is very wild and rambunctious, but also has her other side of being cuddly and very sweet! She will practically do anything for a treat and loves the outdoors!
Where were you born and raised?
I grew up in southwest MN. Most of my childhood was spent growing up in Worthington MN. I moved my last year to small town Windom MN, where I finished out my High School and graduated from there!
What made you decide to become a photographer?
During my middle school years, I found immense joy in capturing moments with my friends, often orchestrating impromptu photo sessions with them. Additionally, I would frequently indulge in self-portrait sessions in my backyard, discovering a deep passion for photography and the ability to preserve precious memories. This passion for capturing moments in time led me to fall in love with the idea of documenting people's lives through my lens. Moreover, my love for photography extends to capturing the breathtaking beauty of landscapes while traveling, inspiring me to share the world's wonders through my own perspective. Through my photographs, I aim to provide others with a glimpse into the world as I see it, inviting them to experience the beauty and magic captured through my eyes.
Where did you go to college at?
I went to Ridgewater College located in Willmar MN. I graduated with an associates degree in Photography and Design. After college, I immersed myself in the world of photography, establishing my own business and steadily expanding my skills as a photographer. With every event I capture, I embrace the opportunity to learn and grow, taking each step forward one at a time.
Outside of Photography what do you like to do?
When I'm not behind the lens, I find immense joy in traveling—quite a lot, to be honest! Exploring various corners of the United States fills me with excitement as I immerse myself in different cultures and experiences. I particularly relish hiking and being surrounded by the beauty of nature. However, my ultimate aspiration is to journey across the globe. While I've only ventured beyond the borders once, I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to explore more diverse destinations.
And when I'm not traveling, I enjoy diving into a new book, expanding my horizons by learning a new language, and spending quality time with friends. Additionally, I find solace in taking leisurely walks, allowing me to unwind and connect with nature.
What is your favorite food?
Lately, my culinary obsession has been butter chicken—it's my absolute favorite right now! Indian cuisine has become my latest culinary adventure. I enjoy trying out diverse dishes, but anything featuring chicken is always a go-to for me!
