Common Questions
Do you sell prints?
Yes! Upon receiving the final images, you'll gain access to a dedicated shop section within the gallery website. Here, you can browse and handpick items tailored to your preferences, whether it's prints, canvases, or other personalized products.
Can I bring Props?
Absolutely! For the photo sessions, feel free to bring along any props that hold special significance or add a personal touch to your images. Props can enhance the storytelling aspect of your photos. Additionally, pets are more than welcome to join in on the fun! They're cherished members of the family and can bring an extra layer of warmth and joy to your images. So, feel free to incorporate props and bring along your furry friends for a memorable and personalized photo session experience!
How far in advance should I book the session?
I book a month out to not only to secure your preferred slot but also to make sure it allows ample time for preparation, ensuring the session is well-planned and maximizing its effectiveness. Additionally, it provides flexibility for any potential changes that may arise, offering peace of mind leading up to the session.
What Happens if its bad weather?
In case of bad weather, such as rain, snow, strong winds, or extreme cold, we'll reschedule for another day. I always want to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for your senior session.
Where are you located?
I am located in Willmar MN but I do travel quite a bit to the cities and to Windom MN.
What should I Wear?
I suggest choosing attire that reflects your personal style. It's best to steer clear of t-shirts with prominent logos or overly busy graphics. Accessories such as necklaces, earrings, or hats can enhance your overall appearance. However, be cautious not to overdo it, as excessive accessorizing can be distracting and make your outfit appear cluttered.
Why do you have a session fee and what is it about?
The session fee is nonrefundable, serving to secure a specific time slot for your session. It ensures commitment from both parties and helps manage scheduling effectively.
Do you make holiday/Graduation cards?
Absolutely! Once I deliver the photos, you can select your favorites. Then, I incorporate those chosen photos into a template. Before finalizing the order, I'll send you a draft for review, giving you the chance to suggest any additions or alterations. After making any necessary adjustments, I'll send you a second final draft. Once approved, I'll proceed with sending off the order.
When can I select my photos?
Once the session wraps up, I'll proceed to edit and retouch the photos. This process typically takes 10 days. Following this, you'll receive an email notification informing you that your photos are ready for selection. After you've made your choices, I'll apply any final retouches and deliver the fully edited images within a day or two. You can conveniently access and download the photos from a gallery link provided in the email.
Who can participate in my family session?
Typically, a standard family session includes your immediate family, comprising your children, yourself, and your spouse. You're welcome to include your pet at no extra charge. For extended family sessions, additional family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews can be incorporated for an additional fee.
FAQ for Engagement's and Weddings
Do you shoot destination weddings?
I'm excited about the opportunity to travel and capture your special day in a new place! If you opt for this choice, you'll still select one of the packages mentioned above, and we'll coordinate the details of your unique day from there. Please note that expenses such as gas, car rentals, flights, and accommodations are not covered in the packages for destination weddings and will be incurred as additional costs.
Will there be a second shooter?
Certainly! In two of the three packages, there is an option to include a second photographer. Opting for one of these packages not only provides more photographs but also ensures diverse angles of the same moments are captured. This option is ideal for couples seeking a first look and enhances coverage during moments like the first dance. Additionally, having two photographers can help the family portraits go smoothly and faster, allowing you to transition to the reception more swiftly.
How many photos will I get?
Well, it varies based on the package you choose. With options ranging from 350 to 800 photos, you'll have a comprehensive collection capturing every cherished moment of your special day. Whether it's the heartfelt exchange of vows, the joyous celebrations with family and friends, or the tender moments shared between you and your partner, each photograph serves as a timeless moment. I aim to capture every detail and emotion, giving you memories to cherish for many years to come.
What if you need extra coverage on your wedding day?
No worries! Additional hours can be added to your package to ensure every moment is captured to perfection. If you require additional hours on your wedding day, it's no problem at all! Each extra hour can be added for a fee of $150 per hour.
Do I need to order prints directly from you?
You don't have to but I highly recommend! The photo lab I work with produces high-quality prints with accurate colors. However, if you choose to print at places like Walmart or Walgreens, the colors may not match exactly. Your images could turn out darker or lighter than they appear on your screen. In contrast, a professional photo lab corrects tones and colors, ensuring clear and accurate images.
